brought the issue of Criminal Code amendments
forward as a resolution following the Mary Pang fire
that killed four fire fighters from Local
27, Seattle in 1995. Martin Pang the
adopted son of Harry and Mary Pang was
eventually extradited from Brazil to face
charges.
The
amendments have become a reality as a result
of our IAFF lobby efforts in Ottawa.

Canada’s
legislative Victory; Criminal Code Amended
to Protect FFs
April
27, 2004 - Legislation amending the Criminal
Code of Canada to protect fire fighters from
traps inside illegal drug operations has
been passed by Canada's parliament after
